Stanley Benson Viltz

Graduate of USC with a B.A. in Social Studies and a Master’s in Public Administration; earned Doctorate in Education Leadership from UCLA.  She has served as a community college administrator for 30+ years at 5 urban California colleges in Academic Affairs, Student Services and Vocational Technology.  Senior level career positions have included Executive Assistant to the Chancellor of LACCD; Vice President of Academic & Student Learning at Compton College; District Director for Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald, and Dean of Business, Computer Studies & Economic Development at Antelope Valley College.

Community leadership roles have included:  co-founder of Black Women’s Leadership Conference, a non-profit professional development organization for women.  Chair of the African American Summit on Violence Prevention – working for eradication of Black on Black and Brown on Black violence.
Vice Chair of the Los Angeles African American Women Political Action  Committee – coordinator of programs to assist candidates who support issues important to African American women.  Past President of the Association of Pan-African Doctoral Scholars – a support and mentoring group for doctoral candidates.

Stanley is a native Californian, life long resident of South Los Angeles, and active member of West Angeles Church of God in Christ. She is a Life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. – national public service sorority; charter member of Century City Alumnae Chapter.  Mission in life:  public service; helping others to achieve their dreams.
